Nature's Cry
As part of the Ecosounds – Nature in Sound project, conceived to mark the 50th anniversary of Fondazione Arturo Toscanini, I have received a commission to compose a new work for symphony orchestra.
The premiere took place on 7 May 2026 at the Teatro Valli in Reggio Emilia, followed by a second performance on 9 May 2026 at the Teatro Alighieri in Ravenna, and a third on 10 May 2026 during the 2025–2026 concert season of the Filarmonica Arturo Toscanini in Parma.
The work, entitled Nature’s Cry, was conducted by Stepan Armasar.

Composer's Note
Nature’s Cry takes shape as a sonic emergence.
It is the cry of a wounded and violated nature, shaped by a process of devastation inflicted
by humankind, disrupting the deep balance and continuity of the landscape.
From this rupture, an inner tension builds—a pressure that gathers and shifts.
The cry marks its release, a point of discontinuity where reversal becomes possible.
Within this fractured voice, a capacity for resistance emerges: a necessary and
inescapable gesture through which nature pushes back and responds to human destruction.
